Apply to Deliver a Workshop at the Simac IDS 2026 Conference

We are pleased to invite applications to deliver a workshop as part of the Simac IDS 2026 Conference: Measuring What Matters – Harnessing Data to Transform Student Engagement, taking place on Tuesday 14th April 2026 in Manchester.

Workshops should provide an engaging, interactive learning experience that supports delegates in exploring meaningful, data-informed approaches to student engagement. We particularly welcome proposals that address one of the key themes listed below:

  • Data-driven engagement and evidence-based practice – using data, analytics, and evaluation to understand behaviour, shape interventions, and measure impact.
  • Student wellbeing and transitions – holistic support models, proactive engagement, and strategies that help students navigate key transition points.
  • Timetabling, operational delivery, and practitioner insight – how operational practice influences student experience and how institutions connect everyday operations with engagement outcomes.
  • AI and emerging technologies – innovative uses of AI, digital tools, or automation to support engagement, learning, or student success.
  • Student partnership, inclusion, and co-creation – approaches that embed student voice, foster belonging, address disparities, and promote inclusive practice.
  • Partnership and cross-institutional collaboration – shared initiatives, sector partnerships, and collaborative approaches to tackling engagement challenges.

Workshops will be 45 minutes long and should encourage discussion, reflection, and peer learning, and may include case studies, demonstrations, practical activities or facilitated conversation.

To submit a workshop proposal, please complete the application form available here.

Please submit your workshop proposal by Wednesday 28th January 2026 to ensure it can be considered as part of the conference programme.

We look forward to receiving proposals that reflect the creativity, insight, and collaborative spirit shown by the sector at last year’s event.
